The active ingredient is micronized progesterone, 100 and 200 mg. per soft-gelatin capsule. The other components are:
Contents: peanut oil and soya lecithin.
Coating: gelatin, glycerol and titanium dioxide.

WHAT PROGEFFIK 100 AND 200 IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
Progeffik 100 and 200 is a soft-gelatin capsule for administration via oral or vaginal route. Each pack contains 30 capsules.
This medication contains a natural progestogen.
This medication is used in disorders associated with a progesterone deficiency, also in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) during menopause and to resolve some infertility problems.

2. BEFORE YOU TAKE PROGEFFIK 100 AND 200
Do not take PROGEFFIK 100 and 200 if:
- You have undiagnosed vaginal bleeding.
- You have severe hepatic dysfunction (only via oral route).
- You have a history of thromboembolic disorders.

Take special care with PROGEFFIK 100 and 200:
If somnolence is experienced, in which case the capsules should be taken preferably at bedtime.
This medication, according to the doses and conditions of use, is not a contraceptive.

Taking Progeffik 100 and 200 with food and drink:
Taking this medication with food increases it absorption, therefore it is recommended that the same dosage schedule always be followed with respect to food (for example: everyday at bedtime after dinner), avoiding changes from one day to another.

Use in pregnant or breastfeeding women:
- Pregnancy
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before you take any medication.
Progesterone is the protective hormone of pregnancy; therefore its use during pregnancy is not expected to have adverse effects.

- Breastfeeding
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before you take any medication.
This medication should not be used by breastfeeding women.

Effects on ability to drive and use machines:
Carrying out activities that require mental alertness, such as driving vehicles or operating machinery should be avoided when taking this medication because it may cause drowsiness.

Taking other medicines:
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicines you are taking or have recently taken, including any that you have bought yourself without a prescription. This is very important because if you take Progeffik 100 and 200 concomitantly with another medication its effect may be potentiated or decreased.

3. HOW TO TAKE / USE PROGEFFIK 100 AND 200
Follow these instructions unless instructed otherwise by your doctor.
Remember to take your medication.
Your doctor will inform you of the duration of your treatment with Progeffik 100 and 200. Do not discontinue treatment before the period recommended by your doctor.
Dosage varies depending on the indications of the product; always take this medication exactly as your doctor has told you.
Administered via oral route: The normal recommended dose is 200 to 300 mg. progesterone per day.
Administered via vaginal route: The dosage may range between 100 and 200 to 600 mg. per day depending on the indication of the product.

If you take more Progeffik 100 and 200 than you should:
If you have taken more Progeffik 100 and 200 than you should, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately or go to the nearest hospital.
In case of overdose or accidental ingestion, consult your local poison control centre.

If you forget to take Progeffik 100 and 200:
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember, then carry on as usual.
Do not double the dose to make up for forgotten individual doses.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Progeffik 100 and 200 can have side effects.
The following side effects may be experienced:
Via oral route:
Somnolence and / or transient dizziness may occur 1 to 3 hours after intake of the drug.
Shortening of the menstrual cycle or breakthrough bleeding may occur in luteum deficiency.
If you notice any other reaction not mentioned in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.

5. HOW TO STORE PROGEFFIK 100 AND 200
Keep Progeffik 100 and 200 out of the reach and sight of children.
No special storage conditions are necessary.
Store in the original pack.
Expiry
Do not use Progeffik 100 and 200 after the expiry date stated on the pack.
