ACTIVITY
Arthrosis is a degenerative process that takes place in the articular cartilage due to anomalies in the synthesis of proteoglycans by chondrocytes.
Glucosamine sulphate, the active ingredient of Xicil, is a molecular synthesis. Glucosamine is a substance which is naturally present in the human body and is the primary substrate for the biosynthesis of proteoglycans. Glucosamine sulphate has also been shown to inhibit the activity of some cartilage-destroying enzymes and other tissue-damaging substances such as superoxide radicals.
The glucosamine content in Xicil relieves the symptoms and delays the progression of the arthrosis process.
INDICATIONS
Xicil, glucosamine sulphate, is indicated for the treatment of arthrosis of large and small joints, such as spinal column, hip, knee, hand, etc….
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Xicil should not be administered to patients with hypersensitivity to glucosamine sulphate or to any other of its ingredients.
