COMPOSITION
Ginkgo biloba extract (GBE 761) ……… 4 gr.
Ethanol (96%) ……… 59,0 ml.
Other excipients, q.s.p. ………100 ml.
(The other excipients are: soluble orange essence, soluble lemon essence, saccharin sodium and purified water).
(1 ml. of solution contains 40 mg. of Ginkgo biloba extract (GBE 761)).
INDICATIONS
Cerebral vascular insufficiency and its functional manifestations (vertigo, headache, loss of memory, decrease of intellectual faculties, disturbance in motor functions, affective disorders and personality disorders).
Sequelae of cerebral vascular accidents and cranial trauma.
Peripheral vascular disorders: arteriopathy of the lower limbs and their trophic complications, distal vasomotor disorders and microcirculation disorders (Raynaud's disease, acroparaesthesia, acro-erythrocyanosis and capillary fragility).
Ophthalmologic and ENT circulatory neurosensory disorders.
POSOLOGY
Take this medication as indicated by your doctor. An average of 3 to 4 ml. daily in 2 divided doses, before lunch and before dinner.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CORRECT ADMINISTRATION OF THE PREPARATION
Use the dispenser that comes with the bottle so as to measure out the exact dose. Pour the prescribed amount of solution into a glass with some water and stir if necessary.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Tanakene is not known to have any contraindications.
ADVERSE EFFECTS
Tanakene is not known to have any adverse effects when taken for the indications and following the method of administration recommended.
PRECAUTIONS
This medication contains a final ethanol concentration of 57%. Each ml. contains 0,45 gr. of ethanol which may be a cause of risk in children, pregnant women and in patients with hepatic disorders, alcoholism, epilepsy and brain injury or lesions. It may alter or enhance the effect of other medications.
OVERDOSE AND ITS TREATMENT
In the case of an overdose, the adverse effects mainly depend on the amount of alcohol taken. Apart from these effects, if you swallow the contents of one bottle or more you may experience the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, stomach ache, diarrhoea, headache, sensation of vertigo, hypotension and polyuria.
Recommended treatment: patients should adopt a conservative attitude, drink tea or weak coffee; occasionally topical digestive agents and if headache is experienced an analgesic should be taken.
In the case of an overdose or accidental ingestion contact your local poison control centre.
STORAGE CONDITIONS
Store in a cool and dry place, and protected from light.
WARNING
Like other vegetable extracts, the active ingredient of the speciality TANAKENE, which are the leaves extracted from Ginkgo Biloba may slightly vary in colour, however this does not alter its activity at all.
METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
Use the dispenser that comes with the bottle as a syringe*.
Filling the syringe
After having pushed the plunger all the way down, place the syringe in the bottle and pull until the prescribed dose is reached.
