Indications
Antiverrugas is a cutaneous wart treatment.
Posology and method of administration
It should be applied once daily. Before applying the product it is recommended that you gently rub the wart surface using an emery board.
Use the spatula to apply one drop of Antiverrugas ISDIN to the wart, taking care to avoid spreading on to surrounding healthy skin because it may burn normal skin, protect the surrounding area with an oily cream or ointment (vaseline…).
Allow the area to dry thoroughly and cover the treament area with an adhesive plaster for 12 hours. If the wart remains, the procedure should be repeated until it disappears completely.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients.
Do not use in patients with diabetes mellitus or individuals with impaired peripheral blood circulation.
Interactions
Due to the keratolytic action of the product, it should not be applied concomitantly with other
keratolytic agents so that it does not enhance the caustic effect of the active ingredients.
Side effects
Skin reactions near the treatment site including redness may occur.
Warnings
Keep away from the eyes. For external use only. Do not swallow. Highly flammable. Do not smoke while you are applying the product. Keep the bottle firmly closed.
Precautions
Avoid contact with healthy skin or mucous membranes. Should the liquid be in contact with healthy skin it should be removed by washing the area with water. Do not apply to skin if there is inflammation, redness, infection, skin peeling or if you have a sore on the skin.
Consult your doctor if you have many warts or if there is infection or inflammation. Even though the treatment can take up to twelve (12) weeks, inform your doctor if you do not notice any improvement after (2) two weeks of treatment.
Overdose and its treatment
If the solution is accidentally swallowed, oral fluid; preferibly milk should be administered to dilute its corrosive action. Go to the nearest Medical Centre and indicate the product taken and the amount, so that induction of vomiting and gastric lavage may be performed if considered necessary.
