WHAT DETRUSITOL CAPSULES IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
Tolterodine tartrate belongs to a class of medicinal products called urinary antispasmodics. It helps to control the release of urine by relaxing the smooth muscle of the bladder wall. It also increases the storage volume of the bladder.
Detrusitol is used for the treatment of the symptoms of overactive bladder syndrome, a condition where you are unable to voluntarily control urination. It is characterized by the need to urinate right away (urgency), with or without leakage and it is usually accompanied by the need to urinate more often during the day (frequency).
