Each milliliter of COSOPT contains 20 mg. of dorzolamide (hydrochloride) and 5 mg. of timolol (maleate) as the active ingredients.
The excipients are hyetellose, mannitol, sodium citrate (dihydrate), sodium hydroxide, water for injection and benzalkonium chloride.
1. WHAT COSOPT EYE DROPS SOLUTION IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
Sterile eye drop solution. COSOPT is available in bottles containing 5 ml. of solution.
COSOPT is a combination of two drugs, both of which lower pressure in the eye in different ways.
COSOPT is prescribed to lower raised pressure in the eye in the treatment of glaucoma when beta-blocker eye drops used alone is not adequate.
