Activity
Campral acts on the brain. Campral works by acting on certain chemical changes that have taken place in your brain during alcohol dependence.

Indications
Campral is indicated for the maintenance of abstinence from alcohol in patients with alcohol dependence who are abstinent at treatment initiation. Treatment with Campral® should always be combined with psychosocial support in order to achieve the maintenance of abstinence from alcohol.

Contraindications
Acamprosate is contraindicated:
In patients with a known hypersensitivity to the drug.
In patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency.
