There are many people walking around today with a harmful Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD)  with no noticeable symptoms of infection. Chlamydia is a major infection caused by the bacterial family Chlamydiaceae. Granuloma Inguinale has reached epidemic proportions in developing countries because of the scarcity of medical treatment making the disease often go untreated. In men, the symptoms first appear as lesions found on the shaft of the penis. The painless genital ulcers often cause leakage of mucus like liquid and bleeding from the red lesions that are very sensitive to touch. This condition is treated with Erythromycin, streptomycin, tetracycline and Ampicilin.

Syphilis has numerous signs including lesions that form around 10-90 days after he initial exposure appears on the penis, vagina or rectum as painless and firm lesions. In the initial incubation period of syphilis people are usually otherwise asymptomatic. Secondary syphilis occurs 1-6 months after initial infection and appears in the form  a reddish pink rash. It can also appear on the hands and feet. Moist areas of the body like the vulva or the scrotum, fever,headache, enlargement of the lymph nodes, weight loss ulcerative colitis, optic neurtis or inflammation of the iris. Tertiary happen around 10 years later an appears as gummas, which are large tumor like balsa, they can appear anywhere in the body. Neuropathic joint disease can also happen resulting in loss of sensation and loss of position sense.Treatment for syphilis is either tetracycline or Zithromax, however if you are pregnant you should only buy penicillin.

Gonorrhea is caused by the bacterium neisseria gonorrhoeae. Its only second to only chlamydia in infected people among bacterial STDs. If unchecked it can spread through the body affecting joints and heart valves.The incubation period is from 2 to 30 days with most symptoms occurring between 4-6 days after being infected. A small number of people may be asymptomatic for a lifetime, but usually men have symptoms that include yellowish discharge from the penis with painful frequent urination and/or pain in the testicles and fever. If left untreated gonorrhea may lead to sterility. Only half of women show symptoms like vaginal discharge, projectile urination, off-cycle menstrual bleeding after sexual intercourse.

It is very important that you look out for yourself and your partner, so get tested, get diagnosed and treat your bacterial infection before you infect others.
