Each tablet contains: Doxylamine (INN) succinate......25mgExcipients: dibasic calcium phosphate,
microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, propylene glycol, titanium dioxide (E-171) blue coating (E-132), hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose derivative and
polyoxyl-40 stearate and polyethylene glycol 8000, q.s.
PROPERTIES: Doxylamine, the active ingredient of Dormidina 25 has a quick acting sedative and sleep-inducing effect.
INDICATIONS:
It is useful in the symptomatic treatment of all forms of insomnia particularly associated with difficulties in falling asleep, frequent interruptions of sleep or early wakening, its efficacy is already apparent after the first nighttime dose.
DOSAGE: The dose recommended for adults (over 18 years of age) is 1 tablet (25mg) given 30 minutes before going to bed. For young people less than 18 years of age consult your doctor.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Dormidina 25 should not be used in people with asthma, glaucoma (increased intraocular pressure), prostate hypertrophy or patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of these components. It
should not be given to pregnant or lactating woman.
PRECAUTIONS: It is recommended to take Dormidina 25
only when going to bed. Do not drive or handle dangerous machinery while taking this medicine.
WARNINGS:
Use with caution if you drink alcohol or taking medicines with ethanol as these may enhance the drug's sedative effect. If you are receiving treatment with another drug, you should consult your doctor before taking Dormidina 25. It should not be taken for periods exceeding 2 weeks or given to people less than 18 years of age without the doctor's knowledge and recommendation.
Important for woman: If you are pregnant or think you might be, consult your doctor before taking this medicine. The consumption of medicines during pregnancy may be dangerous for the embryo or foetus and should
be monitored by your doctor.
It may interfere with skin tests that use allergens. It is recommended to stop taking this medication at least three days before starting these tests and that you inform your doctor.
INTERACTIONS: None have been described.
SIDE EFFECTS: Occasionally dry mouth and cloudy vision have been observed. In most cases, the side effects reported have been mild and have not
required stopping treatment. If you feel drowsy the next morning, reduce the dose.
OVERDOSAGE: In the event of massive intake, treatment should be symptomatic and aimed at maintaining vital functions,
