Frenadol contains three active substances, Paracetamol (500mg),
Dextromethorphan (20mg) and Chlorpheniramine (4mg).
Paracetamol reduces the fever and pain. The
Dextromethorphan relieve the cough. The Chlorpheniramine reduces the
excess of nasal secretion. Frenadol does not cure the infections produced
by virus or bacteria, but relieves the symptoms of a flu. ne is unclear,
but it is thought to decrease the impulses from the brain and spinal cord
to the muscles. (It has no direct action on the muscle itself). This
causes the muscles to relax and hence decreases the spasm.
